Join the Movement

What movement you ask? It’s rather simple. It is the movement to follow Jesus by actually living out the most important thing He told us to do, ‘love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and  strength and love your neighbor as yourself”. In 1 Corinthians 13 Paul tells us that no matter how spiritual, wise, knowledgable, faithful we are, even if we become martyrs burned at the stake for our faith in Christ, really really have and are nothing without love.

I came across this video on my friend Kim Arrington’s Facebook page and was struck by it’s simplicity as well as its profound power. I don’t know who the young lady is who made the video, but I love her heart and her style. She is calling you to join the movement. We need more like her.

  1. Paul says:

Dan, thanks for sharing. Many of us (me) struggle with the “first” commandment, “to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength,” the second is so much more difficult and I fail miserably “loving your neighbor as yourself.” These commands need refreshing everyday and often from minute to minute. I love the simplicity and honesty that Emanuella uses to convey such a back to the basics approach to what the church needs to be.

  2. Dan,

Thanks for sharing this as it’s such a powerfully simple video! I really hope others get the idea of what we’re truly called to do!

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” Matthew 16:25

In this love that we are to give; we find true peace and joy. It’s what God promised us, and I’m grateful for it. Thank you Dan for taking the time to share your beliefs in God. I’m really encouraged by your efforts to share the Truth and to make known the lies of this world!

    Love, brother in Christ,

  3. John Lewis says:

Talking about the past and pondering the future is not going to cut it. I think most born again believers have been through this journey that this young lady has been on. I know I am. When Moses asked God who sent him to pharaoh he was told to tell pharaoh, that I AM sent him. I believe the only way to love God is to look where He is working and join Him……now! The Present Tense is the key! The Word is not a history book speaking about the past, The Word is happening now.

  4. Dan Lacich says:

    John,
I understand what you are saying about the importance of the present. Yet, throughout scripture we are reminded to remember the past and what God has done there in order to better understand the present and move into the future. The Passover had that role and Jesus made it even more clear when he told us to remember what he did and do so in anticipation of his coming again.

  5. John Lewis says:

We have short memories and our attention spans are weak is all I am saying, but that is what the Word is to me. This generation is doing the same things as in the past. Nothing new under the sun.
